Certificate Verification Process and Certificate Formats:
i) Candidates who wish to be considered against reserved vacancies or seek age relaxation must submit the requisite certificates, issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format, whenever called upon to do so by the CRPF. Failure to do so will result in their claim to belong to the SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories being rejected, and their candidature/application will be considered under the ‘Unreserved’ (UR) category. Furthermore, if a candidate seeks any other form of age relaxation or claims the status of an Ex-Serviceman (ESM) but fails to produce the relevant certificate, their candidature will be considered solely under their own respective category—i.e., SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR. The prescribed formats for these certificates are annexed to this notification.
ii) If a candidate belonging to a caste classified under the SC, ST, or OBC categories migrates from one state to another, they must make a considered decision regarding whether to avail themselves of the reservation benefits of their ‘State of Origin’ or to appear for the examination as an ‘Unreserved’ candidate in their ‘State of Migration.’ The candidate must indicate this decision or preference through the online application form. No request to alter this preference will be entertained by the CRPF once the application form has been submitted. If a candidate decides to avail themselves of the reservation benefits of their State of Origin, they must provide details regarding both their State of Origin and their current State of Domicile in the application form; in such cases, their candidature will be considered strictly within the context of their State of Origin.
iii) For the purpose of claiming status under the SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories, the ‘Crucial Date’ shall be deemed to be the closing date for the receipt of online applications—i.e., 19/05/2026. iv) Any candidate seeking recruitment on the basis of reservation under the OBC category must ensure that they possess the relevant caste/community certificate and that, as of the crucial date, they do not fall within the ‘Creamy Layer’. For this purpose, the crucial date shall be considered as 19/05/2026—that is, the last date for the receipt of online applications. v) Candidates should further note that, regarding the aforementioned matter, their candidature shall be treated as provisional until the authenticity of the relevant documents is verified by the recruiting authority. Candidates are hereby warned that if they fraudulently claim SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ESM status, or avail themselves of any other benefits, they shall be debarred from the examination.
vi) At the time of document verification, in order to substantiate their domiciliary status, candidates shall be considered for recruitment to their respective states or Union Territories (UTs) only upon the submission of a valid “Domicile/Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)” issued by a competent authority authorized by the concerned State or UT; failure to submit said certificate shall result in the immediate cancellation of their candidature. This Domicile/PRC certificate must pertain to the specific State or UT that the candidates have specified in their online application form; failure to comply with this requirement shall result in the immediate cancellation of their candidature.
vii) Since the States of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are currently not issuing Domicile Certificates or Permanent Resident Certificates, candidates from these two states are not required to submit such certificates. However, their final selection shall be subject to the verification of their domiciliary status through the respective district authorities.
